Alumni

with a little help from the alumni

Summer on the Cuyahoga is supported by alumni volunteers who are excited to help students explore Cleveland and potential career paths. Please consider financial or volunteer support in the following areas, and contact us at info@summeronthecuyahoga.org to let us know your interests.

events

Summer on the Cuyahoga organizes a series of events to enhance the students' Cleveland experience. Events include meetings with civic leaders, community service opportunities and social events with young professionals and alumni. Please let us know if you would like to help coordinate an event.

jobs

Summer on the Cuyahoga believes it is extremely important to convey to the students the wide range of professional opportunities available in Northeast Ohio. We are always looking to introduce the program to new employers. Please let us know if you would like to become an employer or help identify new organizations for participation in SOTC.

financial support

Summer on the Cuyahoga is an Ohio nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation for which your contributions are tax-deductible. Please consider a gift in the following amounts that reflect the cost of successfully executing this program:

  • Sponsorship of a student $1,000
  • Housing for an intern for half the summer $500
  • Summer event expense for an intern $350
  • Sponsorship of a Career Exploration Event $150

This program is also generously supported by a number of Cleveland's family, community and corporate foundations.

Mentors

We invite alumni to be mentors to the students during the summer. The intent is that the alum be a resource to the student regarding life after college and life in Cleveland. In many cases, the relationship continues beyond the summer experience, thereby keeping the student connected to Cleveland and the alum connected to current life on campus.
